WHO WE ARE: Children’s Body-Image Foundation believes that all children should feel good about themselves. We are advocates for every child. We strive to improve children’s self-esteem and self-confidence by raising body image awareness, educating the public, and by promoting acceptance of all children within our community. Our organization highlights the fact that certain medical conditions and traumas can also have a negative effect on a child’s sense of self, both physical and or psychological. Some of the conditions we serve are: clubfeet, pediatric cancers, alopecia (hair loss), amputation, body dysmorphia, eating disorders, and other related conditions. Allied healthcare services needs vary and include such services as: professional counseling, braces/supportive devices (durable medical equipment/DME), physical therapy rehabilitation, prosthetics, and other related services. Helping children establish healthy habits that include nutrition and fitness education are also key components in developing a lifetime of better health. The Children’s Body-Image Foundation is a 100% volunteer organization (we have no paid staff members) (est. March 2009), professional 501(c)3 nonprofit organization recognized by the I.R.S. (Federal Tax ID 80-0341573) (Ohio Charter Number 1830233).
OUR VISION: To see every child accepted for who they are and the joy they bring and for each child to receive the necessary allied medical services they require regardless of their family’s ability to pay. Every child deserves to grow up with the self-confidence and courage necessary to pursue their dreams.

Children’s Body Image Foundation and Martini Park Presents:
The 1st Annual “Bidding for Body Image” Charity Date Auction
Looking for a way to have fun and support a great cause at the same time? This is a CLASSY ADULTS ONLY fundraising event held at Martini Park at Easton Town Center on Saturday Febuary 13, 2010 from 6 pm to 9 pm but the party will continue after the auction. For more information click HERE
In 2009 besides providing financial assistance to families through our own financial assistance programs, we also helped children by providing financial assistance for: Pediatric healthy weight & nutrition, pediatric cancer research, pediatric counseling, juvenile diabetes research, prosthetics & orthotics for children, airing public service announcements, provided toys for children who had to stay in the hospital for the holidays, provided financial assistance for children of abuse, neglect, and violent homes, sponsored children through children’s services “Fill a Holiday Wish” program.
* We felt so compelled to help the children of the Haiti earthquake that we made a financial donation to The United Children’s Fund (Unicef, an International Nonprofit) where 100% of our directed donation will go towards helping these children.

At The Refectory Restaurant on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 7:00 pm was a great success, with a portion of the proceeds going to The Pediatric Clinical Weight Loss Management Program.
